Soulful Life

Most of the time when we are alone, we feel lonely, empty and weak. There are times we want to reach out to our friends but not all of the time they are there to help us out.  In cases like these, if there’s no one there for you then be there for yourself. Go out and find ways how to help yourself. Sometimes reading books can help us too and speaking of it, I want to share something from “The Secret to a Soulful Life, How to Create Peace and Happiness In Your Life Every Day”edited by Patricia Wayant. Hopefully this can help.

The Secret to a Soulful Life.
To live a soulful life is to feel a profound connection to everyone and everything that touched your life. It is to go about your day with greater awareness of the world around you and to live with love and gratitude in your heart. To live a soulful life is to tap into the deepest, richest place inside you to find your true self, to realize your life purpose, and to experience life in the most positive ways.
People who live soulful lives embrace every moment they are given. They cherish people, places, and things that fill their lives with so much warmth and joy. They take time when others around them are rushing and feel intensely when it would be easier not to feel at all. They know things go wrong, mistakes get made, and bad stuff happens, but they try to focus on the beauty and goodness in the world. They recognize that each new day is a gift that will never come again.
There is no single definition of soulful living and the secrets to finding it can really only be found inside yourself.
The Secrets to a Soulful Life:
  • Make the most of each day
  • Take time for the people who matter most
  • Know yourself
  • Show kindness
  • Spend time in nature
  • Let yourself relax
  • Look for reasons to smile
  • Be alone sometimes
  • Fill your mind with positive thoughts
  • Love and honor yourself
Soulful living is an attitude, a choice, and a way of thinking. It is finding calm and quite in a hectic, noisy world. It is being grateful for what you have and bringing awareness to the parts of your life that mean the most but sometimes receive the least attention. It is experiencing life on a deeper, more meaningful level that focuses on a genuine connection to the earth, to the people who share your life, and to yourself.
